regulation
There is no regulatory control on depilatory waxes as such. However, Perron Rigot has decided to closely follow the regualtions concerning cosmetic products and adapt them as necessary, seeking advice from specialized legal professionals.
Before the launch of a new wax, the formula is tested over a period of three months at high temperature in order to determine the effects of what is called accelerated aging on the formula’s stability. A microbiological analysis and a skin tolerance test conducted under dermatological control are also conducted in order to guarantee that each wax is harmless to consumers.
Ingredients in the wax are listed on the package in compliance with the latest standards. In particular, a list of ingredients considered to be potential allergens is provided (EU Directive 2003/15/EC).
Our product packaging does not show a time limit within which the product must be used. This is because waxes are not affected by the package being opened, since their structure is not altered by the ambient air. Only a too-high temperature can alter it; for this reason it is advised that wax be kept in a cool, dry place.
The “use-by” date shown is the same as for all cosmetics – three years following manufacture.
Finished product is sampled during each prouction run and stored for quality monitoring and as a reference in case of any doubt as to the quality of the run. Each product package bears a batch number identifying the production batch from which it comes.
