traditional recyclable waxes
So-called traditional recyclable waxes make up the first generation of depilatory waxes. They have evolved considerably, and are still very much in use today.
The earliest waxes were brown in color and had a strong odor; they were used at relatively high temperatures and were brittle once dry. Perron Rigot has eliminated those disadvantages and has truly revolutionized this category of products.
By creating the first low-temperature formula, Perron Rigot made it possible to perform waxing at 37° to 40°C (instead of 45° to 50°C as with early waxes). This greatly improved user comfort and facilitated waxing of sensitive areas like the swimsuit line and underarms. A patent was even filed on the formula.
These traditional waxes have a creamy, flowing texture, dry quickly but remain flexible, and do not break. Recyclable using filtration, they can easily be used four to five times. The temperature at which the wax is recycled guarantees perfect hygiene, as studies by the Pasteur Institute have shown. Nevertheless it is recommended that strips of wax used on the underarm and swimsuit areas be discarded.
Traditional waxes are made up in large part of rosin (tackifying), to which microcrystalline wax, titanium dioxide, and an emollient (lanolin) are added for a smooth, creamy texture.
Perron Rigot rose-colored traditional wax is formulated with natural rosin and high-quality bleached beeswax, titanium dioxide, and an emollient (lanolin) to give it a smooth, creamy texture. Perron Rigot has also developed a special formula for sensitive skin, enriched with jojoba oil and with a lovely white color.
